Terms of service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Sumarii. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Agreement
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
The Service
Sumarii provides meeting transcription, structured minutes, insights, chat over session content, exports, and related features via the web application. Features may change as we improve the product. We may offer free trials or paid plans as described at signup.
Accounts and workspaces
You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for managing workspace members and permissions. Notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
Your content
You retain ownership of audio, transcripts, minutes, and other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to provide and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the rights and consents needed to record, upload, or process meeting content.
Acceptable use
- Comply with applicable laws, including privacy, employment, and telecommunications rules.
- Do not infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Do not attempt to access other workspaces, probe or disrupt systems, or exceed reasonable usage limits.
- Do not upload malware or use the Service for unlawful surveillance or harassment.
Fees and payment
Paid plans, taxes, billing cycles, and payment methods are shown at purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated in your order. We may change prices with notice for future billing periods.
Our intellectual property
We own the Service, software, branding, and documentation. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or underlying technology except as needed to use the Service.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is.” AI-generated transcripts and minutes may contain errors. You should review outputs before relying on them for legal, medical, financial, or employment decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars if you have not paid fees, unless a higher minimum is required by law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, risk to the Service, or legal requirements. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete data after a reasonable retention period.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Tokyo, Japan have exclusive jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance. We will post changes on this page.
